The standard we aim for
We measure this site against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, Level AA. That is the benchmark most commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Where we are
This website was rebuilt in 2026. As part of that rebuild we commissioned an accessibility audit covering automated testing, keyboard navigation, screen reader behaviour, colour contrast, reduced motion, and page zoom to 400%. We are working through what it found.
Things the audit confirmed are working:
- every image has appropriate alternative text, and decorative artwork is correctly hidden
- headings and page landmarks are structured correctly
- the page reflows to a single column at 400% zoom with no sideways scrolling
- all animation stops if your device is set to reduce motion
- tap targets meet the minimum size
Where the audit found problems, we are fixing them rather than listing them as permanent exceptions. We are not claiming full conformance today.
